- The new generation of the Hyundai Palisade SUV has been shown in Korea.
- The model adopts a boxier stance, with a cleaner and more sophisticated design.
- It also gains a nicer interior inspired by high-end furniture, with up to 9 seats.
Hyundai has revealed the design of the new Palisade in Korea, which enters a new generation after six years in the market. Hyundai’s largest ICE-powered SUV offering received a boxy styling language with futuristic cues and a new interior that promises more space and luxury than before.
The boxy makeover of the Palisade is similar to that of the smaller Santa Fe, albeit with a more premium tone. The design language is cleaner, with more straight lines and greater a emphasis on volumes. At the front, big blocks of LEDs are mounted vertically, flanking the large upright grille.

The longer wheelbase, shorter front overhang, and stretched tail have a positive effect to the proportions of the Korean SUV, which sends Range Rover vibes from certain angles. This is more evident due to the black pillars, the flat beltline, and the shape of the LED taillights, which extend to the profile.
Hyundai designers added aluminum-style accents around the bodywork, matching the roof rails that appear to extend into the D-pillars. The multi-spoke alloy wheels have a diameter of 21 inches, which sounds fitting for the large footprint of the SUV. The length of the Palisade hasn’t been disclosed, but it is expected to surpass the 5 m (196.9 inches) mark, similar to the fully electric Hyundai Ioniq 9.
Besides the fresh sheet metal, the Palisade also benefits from a nicer interior, inspired by high-end furniture. The digital cockpit incorporates dual 12.3-inch screens in a curved panel, which is better integrated within the dashboard. The gear selector has been moved from the center console to the steering column, freeing up space, while there are also plenty of knobs and buttons for the climate control and other functions.
The pill-shaped A/C vents and the round door handles are reminiscent of Genesis, as with the tan-colored upholstery of the pictured example. Other features that contribute to the premium feel include the island-type center console, the Range Rover-style steering wheel, and the wood inserts with ambient lightning.
The cabin can accommodate up to nine passengers in a three-row layout, thanks to the new center console that doubles as a middle seat in the front row. The second row is also available with individual seats, while third-row passengers benefit from improved comfort and visibility.
Hyundai didn’t share the specifications of the new SUV, saving them up for the full reveal that will follow in the near future. According to the latest reports, the Palisade is expected to gain a hybrid option with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, and a turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 with more grunt.
Sales of the new Hyundai Palisade will start from its home market in Korea, followed by other regions. In North America, the SUV is expected to arrive for the 2026 model year, since its predecessor has already entered the 2025MY.
