The new Dzire is the first-ever Maruti Suzuki car to score a full 5-star safety rating at the Global NCAP
The new Maruti Dzire experiences its first real-life accident. Dzire is the most successful sedan in the country. In fact, it has held that position for a very long time. In its latest 4th-generation avatar, it comes with loads of aesthetics, features, safety and mechanical updates in comparison to the last-gen model. As a result, we can even treat it as a brand-new car with its unique individuality. Maruti also announced that it will not be on sale for commercial fleet operators. Hence, it wants to associate the new Dzire with private owners only. For now, let us delve into the details of this latest case.
First Real-Life Accident of New Maruti Dzire
This video has been making rounds on the internet. While a lot of details are not available, it is being said that an e-rickshaw collided with the compact sedan. Unfortunately, there is no video clip of the live accident which makes things difficult to understand. Still, we are able to see a dent on the left rear door of the Dzire. In fact, there are two areas which have been affected by this tussle – one at the top and one towards the lower section of the door panel. In any case, this is not high damage even though we are not sure about the details of the crash.
Now, we must not jump to any conclusions before knowing the full story. This is especially true since there is no footage of the actual accident. Hence, we can only see the damage after the impact. In any case, what actually matters is the official Global NCAP rating which takes into account most aspects during an accident with regard to the car’s active and passive safety equipment. Hence, there is no point in dwelling on this isolated incident with scarce details.
