Installing aftermarket alloy wheels is the easiest way to transform the appearance of any car
This has to be the first-ever new Maruti Dzire with swanky aftermarket alloys. The new Dzire has been creating a lot of buzz in the Indian automobile market. It got new powertrains, distinct aesthetics, a few segment-first amenities and an unprecedented for a Maruti car – a full 5-star safety rating at the Global NCAP. All these factors are enough to boost the sales of the already the most successful sedan in the country ever. Still, some people love to take their cars to the car shops to get attractive alloy wheels. This is a perfect case in point.
New Maruti Dzire w/ Aftermarket Alloys
This post stems from monga_tyres on Instagram. The visuals capture the new compact sedan at the famous car shop. The white-coloured vehicle carries oversized alloy wheels with an 8-spoke design. Not just that, even the tyre size has been increased which sticks out of the body of the sedan a bit. The black background of the alloy bears a sporty appearance which is highlighted once the owner takes it out on the road. Clearly, he was not satisfied with the stock alloys. I must admit, the new Maruti Dzire oozes an imposing road presence with these new alloy wheels.
Under the hood of the new Maruti Dzire, you will find the Swift-sourced 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Z12E naturally aspirated petrol engine making a decent 82 PS and 112 Nm of peak power and torque. Performing the transmission duties is either a 5-speed manual or an AMT automatic gearbox. There is also a CNG avatar of this mill which makes 70 PS and 102 Nm of peak power and torque. It comes with a sole 5-speed manual transmission. However, the biggest talking point is the impressive mileage figures of 24.79 kmpl with the manual, 25.71 kmpl with the automatic and 33.73 km/kg with the CNG. The prices range from Rs 6.79 lakh to Rs 10.14 lakh, ex-showroom.

My View
I have reported innumerable instances of people heading to the aftermarket car modification houses to get oversized alloy wheels and large tyres. However, I must mention that these can bear negative effects on the performance parameters due to the added weight. This puts the engine under unnecessary stress which results in decreased mileage. Also, if the tyres are too big, it can have an impact on the suspension setup and they might brush against the body of the car. Hence, you must keep these aspects in mind before going for customized larger alloy wheels.
