India Longest Tyre with 400 Tyres

It is mind-boggling to see how the ultra-large machinery is transported around the country

In this latest video, we take a look at the details of India’s longest truck which has a whopping 400 wheels. It is not every day that we get to witness heavy machinery being transported around. However, as the country progresses and industries set up in various parts of the country, highway infrastructure becomes crucial. That is where ultra-heavy-duty machines like these trucks come into the picture. Let us glance at the details of this latest case.

India’s Longest Truck Has 400 Wheels

The specifics of this case stem from A to Z Haryana on YouTube. The reporter is with the long truck. He interacts with the technician of the truck. That is where the first-hand information about this truck comes to light. The latter mentions that there are around 27 people as staff to operate this truck. They commence this journey from Gujarat and the destination is Panipat. It is a coke drum which is a crucial component of oil refineries. In total, there are three Volvo trucks which are needed to pull this trailer which contains around 400 wheels.

Interestingly, they have been on the road for over a year. It will take them another 2-3 months to reach the destination. On a good day, the truck can cover around 25 km. However, at times, the truck can even stay in one place for a few days. They have to wait for the necessary permissions to implement road blockages to facilitate the movement of the truck. That takes a lot of time. Additionally, in some places, temporary structures have to be built. All these aspects are unpredictable and can elongate the trip journey considerably.

My View

I must admit it is absolutely fascinating to experience such a machine. What is even better is to hear the interaction with the actual operators. They can tell you the ins and outs of such a procedure in depth. I believe we must know about these things to realize how large items are moved around in our country. I shall keep an eye out for more such cases in times to come.
