Ever since the arrival of the Mahindra Thar Roxx, the 3-door version is being offered at discounted prices
The Mahindra Thar 3-door is currently offering hot deals worth up to Rs 3.06 lakh. That is a huge amount for a vehicle which costs around Rs 15 lakh. The reason seems to be quite simple. Its larger and more practical sibling, the Thar Roxx (5-door), has taken the market by storm. It has attracted immense interest from potential buyers ever since the bookings commenced. With such huge demand for the off-roading SUV, the regular 3-door iteration is struggling a bit. To remedy that, the Indian auto giant is making the deal incredibly sweeter.

My View
Offering discounts is the quickest way to spur demand. It is a technique every carmaker uses from time to time. With the increased competition in almost every market segment in India, people look for cars with hefty benefits. The regular Thar has currently been overshadowed by the new Thar Roxx. Hence, Mahindra wants to push its sales and demand up with such enticing offers. We shall have to wait to see how well these discounts translate into actual sales going forward.
